For Oily/Acne Prone Skin. PCA SKIN BPO 5% Cleanser is a gentle and effective cleanser formulated with 5% benzoyl peroxide for antibacterial properties and a host of botanical extracts to clear, soothe and calm acne and breakout-prone skin.

PCA SKIN BPO 5% Cleanser is an anti-bacterial cleanser without the irritating surfactants in other acne cleansers. Brings oxygen to the follicles to kill the p. acnes bacteria and stimulate healing in the skin.

Containing vitamins E, C, and B5 which soothe and strengthen skin, while helping to sooth irritated, inflamed skin. Allantoin helps rid skin of necrosed cells and promote healthy tissue growth. The chamomile, nettle, and cucumber in PCA SKIN BPO 5% Cleanser help deliver powerful anti-inflammatory benefits.

How To Use:
Apply a small amount to damp skin and massage into a light foaming lather. Wash in gentle circular motions. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Follow with the appropriate PCA SKIN toner, treatment serums and sunscreen moisturizer in the daytime and antibacterial hydrator in the evening. Can be alternated with PCA SKIN pHaze 32 Acne Bar or PCA SKIN pHaze 1 Facial Wash for Oily/Problem Skin.

Tricks and Tips:
Benzoyl peroxide can be surface irritating and may cause hyperpigmentation in higher Fitzpatrick (darker) skin types. PCA SKIN BPO 5% Cleanser can be used as a pre-peel cleanser on acneic skin.

Active Ingredients:
• Benzoyl peroxide (5%) - Reduces the number of skin surface bacteria and acts as an oxidizing agent, making it appropriate for clearing comedones or blackheads and disabling the acne causing bacteria, p. acnes.

Key Ingredients:
• 10% Gluconolactone - Polyhydroxy acid (PHA) capable of providing gentle exfoliation to minimize follicular impactions. Studies have also found that it assists in reducing breakouts and provides anti-inflammatory benefits. In addition, gluconolactone acts as a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from damaging environmental exposure by chelating metals and scavenging free radicals.
• Pro- Vitamin B5 - Improves and increases the moisture- retention capacity of the skin and has anti- inflammatory effects
• Grapefruit Peel Oil and Nettle Extract - Anti- inflammatory and astringent agents. Bery effective in the treatment of breakout - prone skin and acne
• Centella Asiatica Extract - Used for its firming benefits as well as increasing cell.
• Phytic Acid - An exfoliating agent thought to be gentler than alpha hydroxyl acid. Used only at low percentage and does not cause peeling, but helps with clearing impacted surface cells.
