 | BETTY CONFIDENTIAL - NOVEMBER 2008 "Celebrity Style: Belli Up to Pregnancy Beauty" Safety first with products for expectant moms and newborns
Belli Stretchmark Minimizing Cream Since finding out we're pregnant 20-some weeks ago, I've given up a slew of my favorite beauty products because of the unknown effects of all the chemicals, perfumes, dyes, and who-knows-what-else they contain.
Instead, I've sought out very natural products and just given up others altogether because I haven't found a good substitute - which has left my beauty routine a little
barren.
Then I found Belli products, and my beauty routine is back in biz! The motherhood and baby lines are both extensively tested for safety, and they're free of all dyes and parabens. From stretch-mark-minimizing cream to an eye-brightening cream, I've loved every product I've tried, and I'm so happy I can use them without guilt or worry about what I could be passing on to my growing baby. They also have face washes, hand sanitizers, lotions and serums - pretty much everything a preggo girl needs to feel pretty.
Halle Berry and Nahla
And once the baby is born, there's a whole line I'm gaga (or should I say gaga goo goo?) over that includes body wash, diaper-rash cream and yummy-smelling lotions. Ahh, I can't wait to use that stuff again!
It seems my passion for these products is shared by Hollywood stars as well. Most recently seen scooping up Belli products was Halle Berry for baby Nahla. When Angelina was pregnant with Shiloh, what gift did Brad give her? Why, a box of Belli products, of course.
If you're pregnant or know someone who is, Belli up to this great line of products. |
 | BEAUTY NEWS NYC - NOVEMBER 2008 "Metro Mamas Guide to a Stress-free Pregnancy" By Stephanie Ila Silver-Silberstein
From the time I put pillows under my shirt and checked out my profile in the mirror, Ive always looked forward to being pregnant. What a joyful experience being pregnant must be! I naively thought. And for the most part, it has been an amazingly wonderful journey. But Id be lying if I didnt admit to sleepless nights spent surfing the internet looking for answers to alleviate the multitude of stresses and anxieties that have plagued my mind over the last 9 months. As far as Im concerned, any woman who claims to be pregnant and entirely worry-free is highly suspect. So from one neurotic pregnant woman to another, here are some ways to minimize that stress and truly enjoy the miracle of life.
Although everyone around you will claim that you've got that 'pregnant glow', you'll probably feel like your face looks like it did when you were 13. So as not to stress out about what harsh chemicals I was putting on my skin, I stashed away my dermatologist-prescribed skincare products and stocked up on the pregnancy safe products by Belli. The Acne Clearing Facial Wash is an exfoliating wash; rich in powerful acne-ridding ingredients that leave skin clear and refined, without over-drying. The safest acne solution for pregnancy, Belli's breakthrough formulation is the first to safely address pregnancy related acne using lactic acid -- an ingredient that is naturally found in the body. Check out Belli's website for other safe products for expectant and new mothers and their babies. I also recommend their Elasticity Belly Oil. It not only moisturized my potentially stretchmarked skin but the lavender and almond scent relaxed me when my 3rd trimester acid reflux was at its worst. |
 | VIVE "Mama Mia!"
To the untrained eye you appear to be a glowing beauty. But mothers-to-be know it takes some help to look and feel your best during pregnnacy.
The body has brewed a concoction of hormones to promote baby's normal health.
Unfortunately, this leaves less than perfect skin, an excess of body weight, and every woman's nightmare: stretch marks. While there are a plethora of beauty buys to fix these problems, not all of them are baby-safe.
Belli Skin Care has created the first skin care line with teratology screened products for both mothers and babies.
The line, which was voted number one by OB-Gyns, includes items such as elasticity belly oil, skin smoothing body exfoliator, and acne clearing facial wash, all under $50. Belli boasts its use of the most advanced, non-toxic ingredients and uses a holistic wellness approach.
With unknown agents causing an alarming 70% of birth defects, women should rethink the products they use. But now, with Belli products, you can pamper yourself without fear of harming your baby. Also, Belli Skin Care has taken its dedication to mothers a step further by creating Belli Baby. Products like Nourish Me enriched body cream and Pamper Me talc-free powder let you protect and pamper baby's delidcate skin as well.

 | PRODUCT FIEND - OCTOBER 2008 "Belli's Eye Brightening Cream Cancels Out the Late Night Feedings"
Any Fiend worth his or her salt knows that the best finds come in unexpected packages. Belli Life After Baby Eye Brightening Cream is targeted to the new mother who is battling the eye baggage that comes with 2:00 a.m. feedings. I may be a "Double Income, No Kids" but sometimes my career demands just as much attention as a newborn.
Defensive much? Okay, I'm working past it, but seriously, Belli products continue to impress. |
 | SEATTLE MAGAZINE - SEPTMEBER 2008 "And Baby Makes Three"
When she became pregnant, former Estee Lauder executive and Issaquah resident Annette Rubin worried about whether chemicals in the beauty products she was using would harm her unborn baby after being absorbed through the skin. She longed for greater safety, but wanted to keep the luxurious feel of the high-end products she loved. Thats why in 2002 she and her physician husband, Dr. Jason Rubin, created Belli, a skin care line.
Free of chemicals such as phthalates and xenoestrogens (commonly found in lotions, creams, and sunscreens), Belli offers peace of mind to health-conscious mothers via three skin care collections: Belli Pregnancy (for expectant mothers), Motherhood (for nursing mothers), and Baby. The Pregnancy Elasticity Belly Oil, made with gotu kola extract, lavender and sweet almond, makes tired skin feel firm and fresh, with the Motherhood Surgical Scar Reducer helps heal C-section scars. Gentle lotions, powders, and tear-free shampoos make up the Baby collection, including Calm Me Hair And Body Wash, a pH-balanced formula lightly scented with marigold and chamomile. |
 | COOKIE - SEPTMEBER 2008 "100 Things That Make Mom Happy"s Belli Baby Body Wash
Yes, you have peace of mind that you aren't putting chemicals on your baby's skin, but paraben-free Belli Baby also smells good (think chamomiles and marigold extracts), foames nicely (thanks to cleansing agents derived from coconut oil), and cleans gently, never leaving a baby's, toddler's, or mom's skin dry or bumpy. |
 | COOL MOM PICKS - SEPTEMBER 2008 "Don't know much about teratology, but Belli does"
I'm conspicuously absent from photos taken after the birth of each of my babies.
I know a lot of you mamas knows what I'm talking about. But it wasn't even my complexion and weight that were making me camera-shy; it was my lady parts--my tender c-section incision and my ravaged nipples--that were making it nearly impossible for me to crack a smile.
I wish I'd known about Belli's pregnancy and motherhood skin care lines back then.
Originally created by Dr. Jason Rubin for his own wife during her pregnancy, all the ingredients go through strict teratology screening process. Yeah, I didn't know what it meant either--it means Belli ensures that they have never been linked to birth defects.
Even more impressive to me is the thorough research behind the products; Team Belli really does their homework, so we exhausted mamas and mamas-to-be don't have to. -Julie |
 | PRODUCT FIEND - AUGUST 2008 "Belli's Elasticity Belly Oil Might Get You Knocked Up If You Weren't Already"
The favorite trick of those Hollywood mommies is Belli Pregnancy's Elasticity Belly Oil. Filled with Vitamin E, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil and lavender oil, Belli is stacking the deck to help your tum stretch like ElastiGirl. I'm not pregnant (and sorry, not willing to go there just for a well-researched product review), I applied the product to my non-pregnant testing hand for a week, resulting in touchable, smooth, silky skin with a clean yet feminine fragrance without being too greasy (like baby oil or straight cocoa butter would be). I was worried that all of the aromatic oils would deliver too much fragrance, especially when applied over a 8-month bubble, so one day post-shower, I spritzed the fine mist over my whole bod. That day, I got several compliments on my boring work outfit of cropped pants, black ballet flats and Gap T-shirt and one person said that my hair looked awesome. Huh? I think the fragrance was subtle enough that people weren't entirely aware of it but rather I was giving off comforting waves of attraction. If you're trying to prevent stretch marks and the annoying itching, Belli's Elasticity Oil seems to be the whole package but really, between the fragrance and the way your skin gets super silky smooth, this stuff just might be sex in a bottle for the childless as well. |
 | SOUTH SOUND - JULY 2008 "VIP Baby Shower"
There's hardly anything more exciting than the impending arrival of a sweet baby.
It's a great time to celebrate a joyous occasion in style. That's why I decided to
host a baby shower for Tacoma's Alicia Savage at the new Hush Baby, a specialty children's boutique that recently opened in Uptown Gig Harbor.
All the guests received swag bags courtesy of Hush Baby that included Belli Cosmetics, pregnancy inspired products created by local physician, Dr. Jason Rubin, including body wash and body lotion, and custom monogrammed note cards created by Gig Harbor's Kari Snyder. |
 | NY DAILY NEWS - JULY 2008 "Side dish: Kate Moss buys for baby"
Was Kate Moss shopping for herself when she bought Belli pregnancy cream in L.A.?
If not, then why did she only enter Petit Tresor baby boutique at closing time and ask them to let her shop behind locked doors? Of course, the lotions and various infantwear she bought could be gifts. But if the 34-year-old is preggers, she might have to makeup with estranged boyfriend Jamie Hince. The Kills guitarist just moved out of her London pad last weekend after a squabble. |
 | BEAUTY CHAT BLOG - JULY 2008 "Belli- Skin Care For the Baby Bump and Beyond"
Belli Pregnancy is a line that has set a higher standard for prenatal safety, as the only skin care in the world that is teratology screened (which means they have excluded ingredients linked to birth defects or other problems with pregnancy).
Belli Motherhood is LACT-MED screened to avoid ingredients associated with harmful effects during breastfeeding.
Belli Baby is screened for xenoestrogens chemicals which can act like hormones that interfere with normal development of the reproductive system. |
 | IN STYLE - JULY 2008 "Rebecca Romijn: No Ugly Betty!
Instead, Pregnant and Pampered" Leave it to Rebecca Romijn to forego prenatal pickles in favor of something posh.
Rebecca and Jerry: Parents-to-be!
The sexy expecting one hit luxe L.A. baby boutique Petit Tresor today with hubby Jerry O'Connell. Rather than stocking up on onesies, the joyful duo indulged in the full collection of decadent Belli skincare products for moms-to-be./TD> |
 | REUTERS - JUNE 2008 "Baby Find: Wonderful Wash without Harmful Hormonal Effects" The following blog post is from an independent writer and is not connected with Reuters News. The opinions and views expressed herein are those of the author and are not endorsed by Reuters.com
What: Wonderful Wash Without Harmful Hormonal Effects
Why: Knowledge is power. Recent studies warn us about phthalates and other xenoestrogens, common ingredients in baby care products that are absorbed through the skin. Exposure to phthalates is associated with hormonal problems in children. So Belli Baby developed a super-duper testing process to esnure that all Belli Baby products are free and clear of phthalates. It's nice to know some of the science, but what's even nicer is the performance of the bath products. Tear-free wash with calming extracts, nourishing body lotion, talc-free powder, and diaper cream round the line.
Great scents combined with gentle natural ingredients result in beautiful bathtime bonding. As you should expect, all products are hypollargenic, free of artificial dyes and never tested on animals. |
 | KISS AND MAKEUP - June 2008 "Belli Pregnancy skin care products for the Yummy Mummy's" The Belli Pregnancy skin care line, $18 to $42, includes body creams, face washes and lotions specifically designed with the safety of baby in mind - the products were developed by an M.D. for his pregnant wife - and don't contain ingredients that could potentially harm a developing fetus.
Best of all? They make you feel and smell like you've just left a swanky spa. The Foot Relief Cream, $18, probably my favorite item, is a great way to soothe swollen feet and achy calves with the relaxing scent of peppermint (and a perfect way to get baby's dad to repay you for all the stress you're body's taking on!). |
