How It All Began
 Barbara Salomone launched the Bioelements product line in 1991 - but her career actually began years earlier in Los Angeles. There, in 1978, she was among the first group of a dozen or so skin care professionals ever tested and licensed for esthetics in the United States. Armed with valuable skills and unsurpassed knowledge, Salomone opened a skin care business in West Hollywood, where models, actors and the west coast elite lined up for her unique and effective skin care services.
It was during this time that Barbara relized the skin care industry had an unanswered need for advanced esthetics education. She headed to chicago, and in 1985 opened an advanced learning center for licensed professionals, now called the Bioelements Learning Centers.
The Evolution of Education
For more than two decades now, the Bioelements Learning Centers have become a haven for estheticians across the country. It's a destination for professionals who want to perfect their skills while learning the latest treatment and product innovations.
As soon as the first location opened all those years ago, more locations were soon in demand across the country. There are now Learning Centers in six major cities, staffed with experienced Bioelements Learning Coaches who know that education takes on many formes - both inside and outside the Learning Centers. They cover it all - from treatment technique to retail strategy, and everything inbetween. All classes fall into on of four levels:
• Bioelements Product Knowledge Classes - Everything you need to know about Bioelements Retail, Professiona-Use Only and Complexion Color Lines.
• Bioelements Core Classes - Learn how to perform facials the Bioelements way. Choose a quick one-day class or an interactive five-day program.
• Bioelements Menu Classes - Build on your knowledge with these accelerated classes that teach how to perform Bioelements specialized skin and body treatments.
• Business Classes - Learn how to grow your skin care business the Bioelements way. These classes cover the tried-and-true ways to success as used by the country's top spas.
 So Whats a Learning Coach?
Bioelements Learning Coaches are the highly skilled educatiors who teach thousands of skin care professionals each year - both at the Learning Centers, and right inside spas themselves (that's right - they'll come right to your spa and teach your entire staff). Learning Coaches provide education the way you want it: Fresh, interactive and enlightening.
They have real-world experience as estheticians, spa owners and managers. They know what it's like to work in a spa - how to discuss acne with a client, how to emphasize the importance of proper at-home skin care, and how to field the many challenging questions and problems an esthetician encounters on a daily basis.
