Healing Thermal Spring Water:
The thermal spring water of Aachen continues to be an integral ingredient of our products. The exceptional properties of Aachen's healing springs were discovered over 2,000 years ago. Today, its water is valued around the world for its beneficial effects. The ground water trickles through the layers of chalk and is heated up in the depths of the earth. It then flows over the layers of rock where it is forced up to the surface, heated up to a temperature of 75<> Celsius and is enriched with valuable minerals. The Aachen thermal water springs are among the warmest in Europe.
A high concentration of minerals and trace elements, (ie: sodium, magnesium, calcium, zinc and iron) are vital to maintain the skin's natural balance and optimum health. This reinforces the skin's immune system, provides the skin with an added moisture, neutralizes the free radicals and stimulates the skin's natural functions.
We've supplemented our signature mineral water with two active ingredients from the Eifel region of Aachen. Both of which are revolutionary in the cosmetics industry: zeolite, a mineral from volcanic rock, and elsberry (wild service berry), a special berry with anti-aging effect.
Elsberry (Wild Service Berry) to Firm the Skin:
The fruit tree of a very rare tree, originally from Southern Europe. Contains more vitamin C than any other fruit in this region, it is highly effective in firming and refining to the skin.
BABOR has discovered and patented the use of this berry in the field of cosmetics. We grow this berry at our own plantation which we extract and incorporate into Body Line Thermal products.
Zeolite to Detox the Skin:
The detox mineral known as zeolite is extracted from volcanic rock in region of the Eifel and works on the skin as a minor biocatalyst Using state-of-the-art technology, zeolite is micronized - Le. ground down to the size of nano-particles.
The skin cells are purified and detoxified, the metabolic processes in the skin are stimulated and the natural defense mechanisms in the skin are optimized. |
