After a Sydney news show aired a segment on the 20-product range, Australian department store chain David Jones sold out of its stock in two hours, to the tune of (AU) $98,000.
Previously, Cellex-C had been available in Australia mainly via plastic surgeons, dermatologists and beauty salons.
Following the TV coverage, Cellex-C's Australian managing director Jennifer Mlynski quickly visited other retailers and conducted seminars on the brand. That yielded another AU $100,000 (£39,000/$62,500) in new business, she said, as well as a AU $4 million re-order from David Jones.
