From Me To You
This fall grown-up glamour has given way to back-to-school, metal studs, naval looks with plenty of gold regalia, cubist style prints, tough metal jackets and armor-inspired accessories. In truth, none of these thrill me. These are the kinds of looks the fashion editors will look back on a year from now and publicly admit that they�re glad we�re out of that stage! Her for example is some advice from Elle: �Assemble a look that�s one part Peace Corps volunteer and one part jet-set chic with a brash mix of ethnic prints and just-off-the-runway pieces.� Huh?

Here, however, are some things you can do to update your look without looking like a Martian.

Stick with a primary-color palette and mix in geometric patterns and hints of gray. Tartans are back on miniskirts and bomber jackets. After decades of feeling as if everyone was looking at your if you wore tights with strappy sandls. Now it�s OK to put the two together - opaque or sheer. Oversize Fair Isle sweaters are making big news. Wear them over pants, shorts, a white blouse. Fasionistas recommend pairing them with tiny tweeds and a flash of hot pink. Hats are back. (Now That I like.) Fedoras, floppy hats and cloche really finish off a look.

Lips
Sugar & Butter named for the organic brown sugar in the new lip exfoliator and the shea butter in our new lip plumper. International News
I just came back from a trip to Moscow where Bob and I opened up our new distributorship. It was my first time in Russia and so I was amazed at the huge scale of everything including the Kremlin, which is very beautiful. So are the women, by the way. Now I�m beginning to understand why so man of our top models are Russian.

The Guild of Professional Beauty in the UK just rated us as the number one makeup brand in the professional industry there. All thanks to our hard-working distributor, David Alpert.

Kevin Mendelson, our gifted national trainer, was invited to New Zealand and Australia to show off his talents. He was a huge success. We�re now in 43 countries and counting. Have a wonderful fall.

Did You Know That...?
A tip for applying flawless liquid liner is to draw the shape first with a black eye pencil so you may easily clean up mistakes and make the line perfect. Then trace over it with the liquid liner.

Water fluoridation has been officially banned in Austria, Luxembourg, the NEtherlands, Spain, Switzerland, West Germany and Yugoslavia. The FDA classifies fluoride as a prescription drug and a poison more toxic than lead. The United States Pharmacopoeia and the Physicians' Desk Reference report numerous side effects caused by fluoride including headaches, nausea, vomiting, gastric distress, skin eruptions, weakness, pain or aching of bones, mottled teeth and thyroid disorders. Could fluoride be the next tobacco?
