How it Works:
The Alpha-Beta Peel Home Facial System was developed by Dr. Gross to help prolong the beneficial effects of the in-office Peels he personally performs, as well as those performed by skin care professionals using the Alpha-Beta Peel Professional System-and to offer the at-home user a safe, effective means to improve their skin's look and feel on a daily basis.
Developed specifically for at-home use, this unique system of ready-to-use pads consists of two steps:
• Step 1
- utilizes a precisely calibrated blend of alpha- and beta-hydroxy acids to produce a controlled exfoliative effect on the skin.
• Step 2
- instantly neutralizes the Step 1 acids, leaving skin soothed and protected with antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E, green tea extract, and an oil-free moisturizer.
• Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and imperfections
• Enhances skin's radiance and clarity
• Reduces pore size and incidence of breakouts
• Improves skin firmness, tone, and texture; and
• Helps maintain and enhance the benefits of an in-office or professional salon Peel.
How to Use:
Should be applied in the AM on clean, dry, cool skin. (It can also be used in the PM if the client prefers.) First, the client should wipe their entire face thoroughly with a Step 1 pad, avoiding contact with the eyes and lips. After waiting 2-3 minutes, follow with the Step 2 pad. Advise the client that they should not rinse their face after the application of Step 1 or Step 2, nor should they apply any alcohol containing products, such as astringent or toner, during or after the Peel. Once skin is dry after Step 2 has been completed, makeup, moisturizer, and alcohol-free treatment products can be applied as usual.
Key Ingredients: STEP 1
• Citric acid, a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid derived from the fermented sugars of citrus fruits.
• Glycolic acid, a well-known alpha-hydroxy acid often used in skin care preparations and peels.
• Lactic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid that occurs naturally in the human body, therefore making it well tolerated and non-irritating to the skin.
• Malic acid, a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid derived from a variety of fruits.
• Salicylic acid, or beta-hydroxy acid, is a potent exfoliant that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and discoloration, and a very effective treatment for acne and rosacea.
Key Ingredients: STEP 2
• Dimethicone, an oil-free moisturizer that helps protect and condition skin, and self-adjusts to absorb only where needed.
• Green tea extract, an excellent natural anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory ingredient.
• Phospholipids, natural substances found in all living cells that help draw and seal moisture into the skin.
• Sodium bicarbonate, a gentle, naturally occurring alkaline substance that is a superior neutralizer for acids.
• Vitamin A, a lipid-soluble antioxidant that absorbs readily into the skin and plays an essential role in building collagen.
