SkinCeuticals Sans Soleil - All Skin Types - 150 ml
San Soleil is a unique self-tanning lotion that delivers an even, natural-looking tan without exposure to the suns harmful rays. Most self-tanning products use the tanning agent DHA (dihydroxy acetone), which when used alone can cause dryness and create an uneven, orange, unnatural-looking tan. Sans Soleil contains erythrulose, a unique DHA enhancer. The combination of DHA and erythrulose helps ensure a more even, streakless, longer lasting tan without increasing dryness.
Features and Benefits:
• Erythrulose/DHA combination - clinical testing shows that this combination delivers a more even, longer lasting tan than the DHA alone - fades slowly, evenly and naturally
• Enriched with vitamins - provides moisture, eliminating the need far additional moisturizing products
• Light fragrance - no unpleasant chemical smell
• Unique formula - easy to apply, dries quickly, and won't stain clothing
Usage Recommendations:
• Uneven pigmentation
• Hypopigmentation
• Tanning alternative
• Protocols: Bronze a Piel
Application:
After exfoliating, smooth Sans Soleil Sunless Tanner lotion over skin as you would body lotion. Distribute evenly by using circular motion and/or vertical and horizontal strokes. Use sparingly on elbows, knees, ankles and feet where thicker skin may result in a deeper tan. Blend along hairline using a slightly moist cotton ball. Wash hands and nails thoroughly. Let dry for approximately 15 minutes.
Key Ingredients:
DHA (DIHYDROXYACETONE)
• DHA is the "tanning" ingredient in almost all self-tanners currently on the market. DHA is a sugar whose molecules react with amino groups in the stratum corneum to produce brownish polymers, the so-called melanoids. NOTE: DHA is classified by the FDA as a color additive for cosmetics that is exempt from certification (color additives normally require FDA classification)
ERYTHRULOSE
• Erythrulose is a preservative-free solution of a biotechnologically produced chiral carbohydrate (sugar)
• developed to reduce or even eliminate the disadvantages of the DHA-created tans, namely an irregular and streaky tan, as well as an intense drying effect.
• Erythrulose reacts much in the same manner as does DHA, but it does so in a slower manner.
• as a result, it diffuses more uniformly into the stratum corneum, thus producing a much more even tan, and precluding the extreme drying effect associated with DHA. NOTE: Erythrulose should be defined as a tanning enhancer, as the FDA has not yet looked at this ingredient and given it the same classification as DHA.
HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) OIL
• has smoothing properties and is considered a
non-comedogenic raw material
• has a high linoleic acid and essential fatty acid content
• contains lecithin and carotenoids
• linoleic acid (Vitamin F) prevents dryness and roughness; a deficiency in the skin is associated with symptoms similar to those characterizing eczema, psoriasis, and a generally poor skin condition.
RETINYL PALMITATE (VITAMIN A)
• helps the skin stay soft and plump and improves its water-barrier properties (preventing transepidermal water loss).
CHOLECALCIFEROL (VITAMIN D)
• helps improve skin feel and firmness with repeated use>
• is absarbed through the skin's outer layers
• an important factor in epidermal cell turnover
• in combination with vitamin A, it has been found to help epithelial growth and good Pigmentation
TOCOPHERYL ACETATE
• excellent emollient and moisturizer
